Charlotte Rierson

 

I was officially installed as president of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists. I am a member of the Repertory Theater's ArtWorks and exhibiting paintings at the Rep production of "Ain't Misbehavin",  Exhibiting with Lea Berry at Indian Rock Village and we had reception last Mon. (May 23). I just received 1st place in Landscaping division with the Ark. League of Artists and the exhibit is at the Patrick Hays Senior Center, NLR until May 31 when it will travels to the NCA Art Gallery, FFB, I will have be exhibiting in the Mid Southern Watercolorist's Summer Exhibit-Cantrell Gallery Little Rock, June 12-July 31, June 11, Homestead Gallery, Greers Ferry will have an Open House- I am one of the featured artists that exhibits in the gallery, exhibiting with the NCA Artists at Community Town Hall, Sr. Center in FFB,  and Ozark Hospital -Clinton. I have paintings at the Galaxy Gallery NLR. I was workshop chairman for the NCA Artist League and we had Shelia Parsons for instructor. May 1-4 and have Sheilia's exhibit up now at the NCA Art Gallery. Just got through with a large "one Woman Exhibit" at the Gem Theater Art Gallery that came down May 1. One of my paintings is traveling throughout the state with the Ark. Art Center's Traveling Exhibit.  I coordinate the NCA Art Gallery, I am workshop chairman for the NCA Artist League and an alternate board member with the Ark. League of Artists.  I belong to several art organizations as well as being President of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists now.

Charlotte Rierson of Fairfield Bay was installed as President of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists May 18, 6:00 pm at the Annual Appreciation/Installation  Dinner.  Mid-Southern Watercolorists mission is to elevate the stature of watercolor and educate the public to the significance of watercolor as an important creative, permanent painting medium. This organization furthers the interest of painters in watercolor by its programs and competitive exhibits, and shall encourage its study by art students and others engaged in watercolor painting. There are over 300 members from throughout the state and surrounding areas of the mid south. MSW meets the 3rd Wed. of each month, 7:00 pm, Sept. thru April at the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock. Guest are invited to visit at our meetings. Dec. is a Potluck lunch/Painting Exchange in a private home and May is the Appreciation/Installation Dinner at a location TBA.
