If you take the wild and untamed spirit of the singer-songwriter and combine it with the traditional harmony and structure of folk and acoustic music, you end up with a musical hybrid: Happenstance.  One of the most exciting new acoustic groups in the South, Happenstance, from Conway, Arkansas, is quickly becoming well known on the festival and concert circuit with a musical style they call "Electrifying Acousticana".

Performing for audiences from 8 to 80; from boots to Birkenstocks; from the wide-open spaces of festivals to the intimacy of house concerts, coffee houses and clubs; Happenstance never fails to amaze and mesmerize the audience with stellar songwriting and spot-on harmonies.  Songs that make you long for the old days and stories that make you think they were written just for you allow Happenstance to become part of the soundtrack to your life.

With a cumulative performance experience of over 70 years, Happenstance has put in the work it takes to be successful.  They've paid their dues, cutting their teeth in clubs and street corners from Boston to Bakersfield.  Voted one of the top 16 bands in Arkansas, Happenstance were finalists for the 2004 Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase, Happenstance are also members of the prestigious Arkansas Arts Council Roster of Artists (www.arkansasarts.com).  There is much more to Happenstance than just hard work and determination, however; their musical talent is equaled only by their fun-loving personalities and high-energy performances.

Doug Coppock plays barn-burning acoustic guitar leads like you've never heard before.

Dan Clanton plays rhythm parts that will soothe your soul.

Brooks Walthall creates bass grooves that lay down a solid musical foundation.

All three members sing both lead and amazing harmony that becomes a living example of the axiom 'the sum is greater than the parts' that you simply must hear to believe.

Add to this exhilarating combination the May 2005 release of their new CD that includes "Stranger in a Dream", "Southern Belles", and "I Can Run", and Happenstance is ready to take the music world by storm!  Currently in rotation at KEDT FM 90.3 in Corpus Christi, TX; KPFT FM in Houston, TX;  and KABF FM 88.3 in Little Rock, AR, Happenstance is breaking onto the playlists of new radio stations all over the place!  Experience the elation of songs and lyrics that will make you long for more, and join in the fun that is Happenstance.
